Take the expression “It’s a dog’s life” to heart!
It’s not as strange or hard as that might seem, except for the sleeping 16 hours a day part. Dr. Wyshak brings you this list with tips from her own canine friends:
- Romp outside as much as you can.
- Be loving with your people.
- Stretch and yawn deeply.
- Enjoy a warm sunbeam, napping on the couch.
- Follow your instinct.
- Make sure your bark is worse than your bite.
- Aspire to communicate your needs (with your words, eyes, tilted head, and maybe even perky ears).
- Be open to new friends (sniff, sniff).
- Stay curious about anything and everything.
- Know what you want, and leap for it!
